Alerts are Dead, Long live the Alerts

This is a one-off email to update you about Booko’s price alerts. No doubt you’ve received some emails to let you know your alerts have been expired ( and in some cases, too many emails - sorry about that ), or you’ve logged into Booko and discovered the feature is no more.

One of our affiliates has terms of service which forbid alerts so, with a heavy heart, I mothballed the favoured feature.

However, if you’re still interested in price alerts for books, I’ve been hard at work building a new site - The Book DB ( or TBDB ). TBDB is currently under heavy development and changing rapidly. Some of the features you know and love aren’t there yet, but price alerts have now shipped.

One feature which I’ve recently added, is the ability to import all your Booko price alerts, directly into TBDB and reinstate them. If you’d like to try it out, you’ll need to log into TBDB using the “Login via Booko” button. You’ll be redirected to Booko.com.au to log in and then be redirected back to TBDB

Logging into TBDB via Booko

Your Booko username and password work on any of the Booko domains ( booko.com.au, booko.info, booko.nz etc ) so if your password manager doesn’t recognise booko.com.au, you can look up the domain you previously used and enter those credentials to log in.

Importing your Booko price alerts into TBDB

Once you’re logged in, you should see a message saying:

“You have N price alerts on your Booko account” with the option to “Move them here"

Alternatively, view the Alerts page, and follow instructions there.
